Dr. Kathy,
I am the mother of another victim to the injustices of the Clark County
[Washington] Judicial system. No matter where we've turned we've run into
one road block after another. It all seemed so off, so wrong, and at first
I thought it was because my daugher, a victim of domestic violence, who did
not have the means to fight this was victimized because of economic and gender
discrimination, but clearly there is no distinction within the classes as
proven by the injustices that you, Dr. Marshack, a woman of high reputation
and means has endured.
I am so appalled by this egregious behavior, not just by Wulle, Townsend,
Chinn, and Jacks but others who are following suit because of the corruption,
Judge Nichols, Terry Vetter, and Lou Byrd to name a few.
How do I help so that someone, outside of Clark county, someone outside
of the Washington State Bar pays attention? How do we reach the others that
have been violated and victimized by the corruption in the Clark County Judicial
System? How do we stop this? How do we make a difference? How can I help?
How is a prosecuting attorney who is fired for misconduct is than allowed
to then teach an ethics class at a local college? - Townsend
How is a judge who is found guilty of judicial misconduct allowed to continue
to reside as a judge with the minor slap on the hands of 10hrs of sensitivity
training? - Wulle
How is a judge allowed to rule in a case after he's allowed in evidence
that was illegally obtained and then not allow the person accused defend
herself? - Nichols
How is it that a judge (Nichols - July 13, 2012 - 9am to Noon) make jokes
(who made this dumb ruling...oh...ha ha...I did...what was I thinking) then
turn around and threaten to send another attorney to "time-out" still
reside on the bench? - Nichols
How does a judge make one ruling on one day and then sign an order on another
that contains changes that he has allowed to be back-doored, by an attorney
who is a crooked as then judge without even so much as a nod? Nichols & Byrd
How does a Family Court Commissioner, charged with the duty of completing
an investigation, someone who is responsible for the safety of our most vulnerable
citizens, our children, get away with doing a half-assed (excused the language)
job, placing very lives he was sworn to protect at danger? Vetter
I feel compelled to continue in the pursuit of justice. I believe that there
is power in numbers. I am willing, able, and available.
Sincerely,
Appalled in Vancouver
Dear Appalled,
Thank you for your letter. I am so sorry to hear that your daughter is suffering
so much. As you so aptly point out, the corruption in Clark County has reached
an unheard of level, touching/crushing the lives of citizens at all socio-economic
strata. The tragedy is that most citizens, such as your daughter do not have
the resources or the energy to fight back. Those of us who do fight back
wage war against an enormous machine, taking years and making very small
gains.
You ask how you can help. Of course your vote counts and rallying behind
candidates who you feel may make a difference. But even more importantly
is using your voice. I have complained to every branch of the government
regarding the atrocities in Clark County. Seldom is one letter or email even
read, but every once in awhile an honest government employee attempts to
help. I cherish these people and add them to my army. Be determined and don’t
give up just because you get “sacked” every so often. I spent
three days in the Clark County jail for standing up for myself. It wasn’t
pleasant but it got me an introduction to Bill Clinton!
Using your voice another way is through the US Observer. I am glad you found
this paper/website. The US Observer represents our voices in the wilderness.
They don’t take sides politically. They take sides for our Constitutional
Rights. While the paper cannot save everyone, it certainly can spread the
word of the injustice in our county and around the country. Tell others about
the US Observer. Send in donations so that others less fortunate can be represented.
Don’t give up!
Dr. Kathy
