Full Acquittal in Win Against Police Entrapment

US~Observer Victorious Against Police Sting Wrongful Prosecution

St. Louis County, MN – Bait and switch tactics have become commonplace in Law Enforcement’s drive to secure prosecutions across the United States when using sting style, set-up operations. Not only are most of these crimes born in the minds of the agents employing the tactics, often there are never any crimes committed. Typically, there is no hope for someone who is falsely charged when swept up in a police sting – the allegations alone are enough to trigger people into believing guilt, especially when the local media only promotes the government’s side.

The defendant – in this case a St. Louis Doctor – is supposedly presumed innocent of any allegation until, and if, proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction on the basis of facts and truth, demonstrated on the premise of direct and circumstantial evidence at trial.

However, the government uses the tactic of publishing a one-sided narrative of the event portraying guilt, often conveniently excluding pertinent information that would allow the public from seeing facts of the case, a different perspective on the government narrative, or most importantly, wrong doings on the side of the government. They promote this using local news and online media publications to convict the defendant in the court of public opinion. They especially target the county and region where jurors would be drawn from, should the defendant decide to fight the charges levied against them at a jury trial.

The government even goes so far to gag the defense from using the word ‘entrapment’ or to present any real substantive evidence of innocence at trial.

The US-Observer is very familiar with these government prosecutorial tactics, hence we swept into action investigating to uncover the facts and truth of the events that led to the charges brought against the doctor.

The US~Observer’s investigation determined that the good doctor never actually broke the laws he was charged with committing. In all actuality, his prosecution was based on a made-up narrative created solely by the law enforcement task force that engaged in this illegal operation.

The US~Observer contacted Mark Rubin, the elected prosecutor of St. Louis County. Rubin went on to attack the US~Observer as a “tabloid” while continuing the doctor’s wrongful prosecution. US~Observer Editor-in-Chief, Edward Snook responded to Rubin’s attempt to malign the US~Observer. Rubin retired shortly thereafter. Upon Rubin’s retirement, Kimberly J. Maki took over and has held the position of Prosecuting Attorney ever since. Seeing as though Maki continued the doctor’s prosecution, it is obvious that Maki is no more concerned with serving justice than her predecessor was!

The US~Observer published the facts for all to see and disseminated the article online and within its hard-copy newspaper across Minnesota. The facts proved the doctor was a victim of police entrapment.

With the truth evident, the trial was a formality. On September 22, 2022, the jury returned the only reasonable verdict it could deliver – NOT GUILTY.

Not only did the doctor have the US~Observer in his corner, but he was also represented by renowned Minnesota Criminal Defense Attorney Robert Shane and Attorney Christina Zauhar. Both were able to successfully keep the facts in front of the jury, even when the prosecution tried to keep those facts from them.
