Jose Velasco-Veyro would not be free today had it not been for the US~Observer’s investigation.

It was 2012, just after the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) was embroiled in the Fast and Furious Gun Smuggling Scandal that Jose Velasco-Veyro found himself charged with felony gun crimes by the very same agency.

FELONY GUN CRIMES

In what could be considered a PR stunt by the Justice Department, Velasco-Veyro was swept-up with 11 other co-defendants (6 caucasian and 5 hispanic) and charged with serious felony gun crimes including trafficking.

Velasco-Veyro and the other Hispanic men were confined in jail, abused and refused medical attention.

When the US~Observer got involved no one was helping this innocent man. The system was out to destroy his life.
In our article “Ties to Fast and Furious“ we reported:

ATF Special Agent John Dodson is a national hero who in 2011 blew the whistle on Operation Fast and Furious, the Obama administration’s gun-running operation to Mexico.

Testifying before Congress, he disclosed that his supervisors had authorized the flow of semiautomatic weapons into Mexico instead of interdicting them, weapons that found their way into the hands of Mexican drug cartels with deadly results.”

No one had a clue, until the US~Observer broke the Jose Velasco-Veyro case wide-open that the Fast and Furious cover-up actually involved the false prosecution and abuse of Hispanics on seemingly unrelated fronts.

When we boil down all the facts in Velasco-Veyro’s case, the results clearly show that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, the Justice Department and certain U.S. Attorneys under Holder are manufacturing gun-running cases against innocent Hispanics to lessen the public scrutiny of our government’s involvement in gun-running themselves.

The evidence the US~Observer collected proved beyond doubt that Velasco-Veyro was innocent of the felony gun crimes. The government had little recourse but to dismiss all charges.
